A few nights ago, I was at a friend’s house – lured there by the promise of a brand new ‘who done it’ and a glass of wine. Now I’m crazy for a good murder mystery, and I award bonus points for realistic autopsies. But as I don’t own a television, it was kind of a novelty for me for to see a program at the time of it going to air. So I was a bit excited (about the wine too).

I used to think that my French bulldog, Esme, was nice but dim: she never manages to progress training past a split-second half-sit, can’t swim and head-butts big dogs in the park if they appear boisterous.

When I was a clinician, I was always envious of those who got to work in a creative environment. Logical, ordered and rational thinking is great, but I often wondered how cool it would be to solve problems in a whole different context. Then I started working in a creative environment.
