Sometimes it can seem as if all annual reports are much the same. But that is precisely why corporate reporting presents a huge marketing opportunity for those willing to think laterally. A truly creative approach to your report can make people see your company in a whole new light.

That has literally been the case for Austria Solar, whose 2012 annual report uses specially treated paper that only reveals its content on exposure to sunlight. As AdAge notes, the Austria Solar report, which has won numerous awards for design and creativity, could have been ‘gimmicky’ if not for the fact that its design perfectly echoes the company’s purpose.
