We can’t tell you Lith’s real name. Well, we can, but we won’t, because ‘Lith’ has a better story behind it.
Lith was given her name because of a childhood fascination with rocks. One of her ‘very nerdy’ friends, as she puts it, took it from the Latin word for rock – and it has proved to be immovable ever since. Moreover, Lith’s early geological interest probably explains why she is now an avid hiker, with Everest’s base camp counting among her achievements.
But Lith is also intrigued by scientific endeavours more generally. With a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine under her belt, she loves learning about and communicating scientific concepts – so she makes the ideal healthcare writer.
Lith is also a ‘crazy cat lady’ (her words, not ours). Her beloved black feline is called Blue, so unorthodox naming is clearly a family tradition.
