Since writing her first short story at age 5 (an absurdist microfiction about an accident-prone dog who throws interspecies parties), Gauri has been obsessed with creative writing. From short fiction and novels, to silly songs about her boyfriend and their cats, there is no tale too tall or idea too outlandish to be explored in Gauri’s world.
If creative licences were real, she’d hold several! Back in the real world, however, her qualifications are far more tangible. She has a Bachelor of Arts (creative writing), a Bachelor of Health Science and over four years’ experience in the healthcare industry. Several years ago, she turned her hand to healthcare communications and hasn’t looked back since. She now combines her affinity for storytelling and love of science to cut through technical jargon and bring research findings to light. After all, as they say, the pen is mightier than the pentapeptide (okay, nobody says that).
When not armed with a keyboard, Gauri extends her talents to singing, yoga, playing the ukulele and training her cats to follow commands. And if the latter is anything to go by, we can all have faith in her ability to get a job done.
