We’re proud to share that Ryan Wallman recently represented Australia on the judging panel for the 2025 New York Festivals Health Awards, a global competition that celebrates creative excellence and effectiveness in healthcare communications.
These awards bring together leading creative minds from around the world to assess the year’s most impactful work across healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing. Ryan joined an esteemed international jury tasked with evaluating work that not only pushes creative boundaries but also translates complex science into clear, meaningful messages for healthcare professionals and consumer audiences.
This isn’t the first time Ryan’s keen eye for detail has been called upon for creative healthcare judging panels. Just last year, he travelled to Las Vegas to serve on the Pharmaceutical and Medical Jury at the prestigious LIA Awards, recognising the industry’s best work alongside some of the biggest global names in healthcare creativity. He also served on the Creative Floor Awards jury in 2021, which is dedicated exclusively to the healthcare and wellness sector.
As Ryan puts it: ‘Healthcare communications – particularly in pharma – represent a creative challenge unlike any other. The process of shaping an embryonic idea into a great execution is beset by regulatory constraints in our industry, so it’s always inspiring to see work that breaks through despite those challenges.’
A (former) medical doctor with almost two decades of experience leading award-winning campaigns for healthcare brands, Ryan brought to the panel a deep understanding of how to balance scientific accuracy with creative impact. His participation reflects Wellmark’s ongoing commitment to elevating the standard of healthcare creativity, both locally and internationally.
We congratulate Ryan on this recognition and contribution – a testament not only to his expertise, but also to the strength of Australian creativity on the global healthcare stage.
